Freshness: We found out that many of the locals still felt the need to touch and feel the products before they buy. There were many instances where they felt the need to touch the fresh produce on the shelves, cutting off a piece of fruit or even poking the eyes of the fish to check its freshness.
Allow me add on another possible assumption to the Freshness part. I felt that purchasing fresh goods via online requires a lot of confidence. Perhaps, they just don’t have enough confidence (yet) to let third party peeps to pick, packed and also deliver. I observed this from my sis-in-law while using a fresh food delivery service here in SG (Not going to name it, it does not matter) .
